The Government Doon Medical College, Dehradun, is committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and security of its records. Access to documentary and digital records relating to patients, doctors, officers, and staff is regulated under provisions of the RTI Act, 2005 (Sections 8 & 11), Information Technology Act, 2000, Indian Evidence Act, NMC Regulations, Uttarakhand Government Service Rules, and other applicable laws.
Such records are held in fiduciary capacity and are not open to third parties except as per legal requirements or court orders. Any misuse or unauthorised disclosure attracts disciplinary and penal action.
