Upholding Law and Order in Doon Hospital and College Premises

This notice is issued by the management of Government Doon Medical College and associated Doon Hospital to all patients, attendants, visitors, and staff. The hospital is committed to maintaining peace, safety, and decorum to ensure the best medical care for everyone.

☞ All individuals on hospital or college premises must follow these rules:

1. No Disruption of Services

  • Any act that disrupts hospital functioning (shouting, protesting, or creating a ruckus) is strictly prohibited.
  • Visitors must follow visiting hours and limit attendants per patient.

2. Zero Tolerance for Violence

  • Verbal or physical abuse, threats, or assault against doctors, nurses, or staff will not be tolerated.
  • Any such act will result in immediate police action and legal proceedings.

3. Respectful Conduct

  • Everyone must treat hospital staff, patients, and visitors with dignity and respect.
  • Abusive or defamatory language toward staff or management may lead to legal action.

4. No Unlawful Activities

  • Weapons, illegal substances, or dangerous items are strictly prohibited.
  • Theft, vandalism, or damage to property will be prosecuted under law.

5. Cooperation with Security

  • Everyone must cooperate with hospital security and follow their instructions.
  • Security has the right to remove anyone violating these rules.

6. Procedure for Grievances

  • Use the official grievance redressal mechanism for complaints.
  • Contact the designated authority or use official channels instead of disruptive behaviour.

Consequences of Non-Compliance

  • Immediate removal from the hospital premises.
  • Criminal proceedings with local law enforcement.
  • Restriction from future entry into the hospital.
  • Civil liability for damages caused.

Punishments for Offences

1. Any act of violence or intimidation against Doctors, Nurses, and Staff, or any damage to hospital property, or disruption in the functioning of the hospital will result in strict legal action.

2. Offenders will be prosecuted under the relevant sections of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023 and other applicable special Acts.
