Government Doon Medical College, Dehradun functions primarily under the Department of Medical Education, Government of Uttarakhand, and policies are largely framed at the State Government / Directorate of Medical Education level.

At the college level, Governing Body, Hospital Management Committee, and Ethics Committees ensure decisions are transparent.

Students, patients, and public can share feedback through grievance redressal systems, complaint boxes, student committees, and public notices. Important policy decisions (academics, finance, administration) are taken only after considering relevant rules, expert committees, and public interest.
